Halloween Costume Idea #27: Buffy Buffy Buffy

Maybe the best.show.ever? Seriously, I was such a closeted Buffy nerd in middle school and high school, but now I shout my love for the show to pretty much everyone. I know it takes place in the late 90s/early 2000s, but I think we can find a lot of what the gang on Buffy wore from vintage clothing finds and a few handmade goodies. And so I give you: the cast of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Buffy
Sometimes I think there were two very different ideas about what this chick should wear. She was either all decked out in leather pants and mini skirts with intense slits or they had her in jeans and cable knit sweaters. I chose the option that was a bit more fun.

Willow
She always had a kooky sense of style. At times, I felt bad for her. So many purples, pinks, and reds mixed together. And always the sneakers with skirts.

Xander
I think he wore flannel a lot towards the end, but I also remember him in crazy surfer style shirts.

Giles
During the early years he was all about the tweed suit look of the librarian.

Angel
All about the black clothes and the perma-frown of a tormented bad vampire gone good.

Spike
I never thought I would find a guy with such terrible hair so damn attractive, but good lord he was hot. Lots of blacks and reds (fitting for a vampire, no?) that always had a rockstar vibe.

Buffy as a show was surprisingly all about fashion. My favorite fashion related quote?

"I'm not exactly quaking in my stylish, yet affordable boots."

Classic.

So get a group of friends and go as the Scoobies (Buffy reference) this Halloween.

Great finds for Buffy fans! Love that suit from bytheway - though I might wear it like in that show Madmen!

Hahaha the dichotomy is so true... tight bordering-on-slutty stuff, or like, overalls. I mean sure, SMG still looks hot in overalls, but....
