A 21st Century Book Club...But With Movies

So, I have been trying to figure out a way to interract more with readers and I think I have come up with a pretty sweet idea...in my head, anyways. The 21st Century Book Club.

WAIT!

Before you go book club? ewwww, there is more to this story. Oh, and literary fans, don't send me hate mail. I love reading, but I think a more likely common bond is the fact that pretty much everyone has access to Netflix these days. So, why not pick a movie that is available on demand and do a weekly column featuring your feelings on said film? No reason not to.

This kid *wishes* he knew what Netflix was.

You don't have to do it every week, but check here on Tuesdays for the pick of the week(chosen by readers, my friends, and myself) and then the following Monday with a post containing my feelings (and a few select readers). Below that post you can leave comments with your questions or feelings on the flick and we can all respond the way we saw it. Sometimes I watch a movie on Netflix that I completely love or hate and feel the need to speak about it ASAP, only none of my friends or family have seen it. Major letdown, kids.

Does it sound intriguing? Shoot me an email over at bluebutterflyvintage [at] yahoo [dot] com, if you think this is something you might be interested in. You can also leave comments below, yoooo.

UPDATED: I can't wait a week to start this. Our first pick comes from Ashli who runs a seriously sweet Etsy store that you should probably check out right here. Drumrolllllllll...the first official selection of the (Yet to Be Named Sorta Book Club, But With Movies) is: Phoebe in Wonderland. Check out the trailer below:

So check it out, give it a viewing, and come back on Monday to share your thoughts. Mmmk?

being a lover of books i should hate this idea. but since i don't hate it: Bravo. this is brilliant. but i'll probably just watch the movies with my friends and then talk about it directly after. kind of book club-esque. idea i just had: foreign films. yes everyone LOVES a good foreign film plus they make you feel TOTALLY classy. and that's never a bad thing.
