Vintage (Inspired) Clip of the Week: Freaks and Geeks

Yeah, I know a TV show from 1999 doesn't qualify as vintage, but this show takes place in the 80s, so let's say vintage inspired.

I LOVE THIS SHOW. Classic Sam clip with his new "Parisian night suit".

Vintage Clip of the Week: You Can't Take It With You

Kinda amazing clip from about 60+ years ago. Not only due to the fact that Jimmy Stewart (my all-time favorite actor) discusses solar power, all the way back in the 30s, but also his discussion on the sadness of letting a great idea fall by the wayside when life gets in the way.

"It takes courage. Everybody's afraid to live."

And don't get me started on playing on fears in advertising. This clip is pretty sweet(and so far ahead of its time that it borders on unreal), so check it!

Vintage Clip of the Week: RIP Elizabeth Taylor (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof)

This week one of the last great, classic film stars passed. Elizabeth Taylor was always the epitome of vintage elegance. She also had an insane love life, that I hope to one day equal. 7 husbands and 8 marraiges? That's kooky (in a really awesome way).

Personal life aside, let's face it, she was smoking hot back in the day. Here's a clip with the equally smoking, late, great Paul Newman, in one of my all time faves, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof:

"Just staying on it I guess, long as she can (kiss)."

Amazing.

Vintage Clip of the Week: On the Waterfront

Sorry, the blog has been a bit MIA the past few days.

Your lovely vintage clip of the week, featuring a scene from one of my favorite flicks:
