birthday!

Well, I'm officially 27 today. No real story here, but just an excuse to post the pictures that I will probably post every year on my birthday. A look into where my love of cake began:

It's My Birthday...1986 Style

Been very MIA this week. Today is my birthday and I'm going on vacation for a few days next week, so it has been quite crazy in my life. I wanted to bless the world with these hilarious pictures circa May 20th, 1986, which is also known as: my first birthday.

My Mother made me this sweet Winnie the Pooh cake. I was all about him back in the day.

Oh, yeah! Where my love of cake began. PS-When people ask me if my eyes are really "that blue" I am now referencing this post. Or was I wearing baby contacts? The world may never know.

Happy Birthday to a Vintage Lady!

My Grandma turns 85 today! She definitely won't be seeing this, though she did just get a cell phone for the first time a couple months back, but I wanted to give her a shout out.

I love her. She weighs about 100 lbs. She drinks Pepsi like water. She eats cheesecake like it is a meal (a la Golden Girls) and loves to watch re-runs of Ugly Betty and slasher flicks. I'm not kidding about either of those.

Oh, yeah, and though she looks sweet and Grandma-ish, if you wear above a size four she will call you fat...to your face. Family is not excluded. Haha it always instilled a sense of humor in us. And several eating disorders. Thanks, Grams!

Happy Birthday Mr. Fluffy

Happy Birthday to someone very special today...my cat.

Haha, I have no problems admitting that when I am 70, I will be known as the cat lady.

Mr. Fluffy turns SEVENTEEN (yes 17!) today. He came into my life as a kitten when I was only 8 and though we tend to have a love/hate relationship, he has been the coolest animal...ever.

Here is to another 17 years of me being my cat's bitch. Cheers!

Happy Birthday to my Niece!

A very special shoutout to my niece, Victoria, who turns (gulp) NINE years old today. I cannot believe I was 16 when this little lady was born, but alas I was. Time flies. Now she's a big sister to that other little princess in the pics below. Siiigh. I'm getting old.
